Yizkor Book Information

The prayers we say on Yom Kippur ask God to remember the souls of our loved ones. It is traditional to do tzedakah to perpetuate ideals important to each of them and to do good in a tangible way. During the Yom Kippur Yizkor service we read names aloud from a Book of Remembrance.

If you wish to have the name(s) of your loved one read, we ask that you make a donation of $10 (or more) per name. You and the people you want to remember need not be Jewish. If you had names in the booklet last year and wish to repeat them this year, please send the appropriate donation.

If you want to add, delete, or edit your list of names, if you want to have names in the booklet for the first time, or have any questions, please contact Faith (802-464-2632 or at faithschuster85@gmail.com).

You can pay by one of these methods:

1. Send a check to BAJC, PO Box 2353, Brattleboro, VT 05303
2. Leave a check in an envelope at the shul on the counter labeled “Yizkor Booklet.’
3. Use the PayPal button on our website home page at this link. Be sure to indicate the payment is for the Yizkor Booklet.
