Throughout the year BAJC holds events, lectures, social gatherings, activities, programs, holiday celebrations, community Shabbat dinners, and more. Here are some of our regularly scheduled activities, but be sure to check the special events page to find upcoming singular events each month.
Bagels and Blocks ~ A drop-in playgroup!
Make new friends while having fun with your child!
Brattleboro Area Jewish Community is excited to offer a Jewish-based drop-in playgroup for parents/caregivers and their infants and toddlers (0-5 years).
Bagels and Blocks is a facilitated parenting group as well as an activity group for babies and toddlers. These fun and friendly gatherings feature songs, stories, crafts, snacks, and free play. We celebrate a different holiday each month.
Playgroups are on the 1st Sunday of each month from 2 pm -3:30 pm
Playgroups are free and open to all.
We look forward to meeting you!
Significant Jewish Books Club
Significant Jewish Books Club welcomes new readers, or suggestions for books to read, at any time. Some of our past reads were Anita Diamant’s, The Boston Girl and The Golem and the Jinni, by Helen Wecker. We meet approximately once every six weeks, usually on a Wednesday night at 6:00 pm. For more information, call BAJC at 802-257-1959.
Come join us on Wednesdays from 1:30 pm to 5pm for some riveting mah jongg! You don’t have to be a Chinese man or a Jewish woman to play! Join us to play or just to observe and learn. We play a no-betting, non-cutthroat game. We usually have pretty good snacks too! Contact BAJC at 257-1959 for more information.
