30 May @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Initially we will meet by Zoom, but the hope would be to have at least some sessions in person, at the shul, as the weather warms. The format will be similar to the past, with a welcome, the leader giving an introduction, a period for guided meditation, some silent meditation, and a time for sharing and discussion afterward, though this could vary depending on the group’s preferences. We are also hoping to be approved for a grant that would allow us to hire an experienced teacher as a guest leader about once a month. We have already engaged a guest teacher for Feb 28, Rabbi Sheila Peltz Weinberg, who was the rabbi of the Jewish Community of Amherst for 13 years and then became a senior teacher and director of community outreach of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, a retreat based program for Jewish leaders. Her most recent book is Let Us All Breathe Together.
