We are grateful as we count the Omer, celebrate our liberation, embrace the exuberance of Spring, and revel in the vitality of our community — including the 13 new member households who joined BAJC this year!
BAJC has launched an annual appeal — and a group of 9 extremely generous BAJC households has pledged to match community donations 2-for-1. In practice, that means if the community donates $10,000, we’ll reach our $30,000 fundraising goal. Your $100 becomes $300. Your $180 becomes $540. We don’t want to leave this opportunity on the table.
Please make a gift before May 22nd — Shavuot — so we can make the most of it.
Why is this campaign important now? We’ve chosen to invest in BAJC’s leadership, staff, and programming so we can become the best version of ourselves: welcoming, inclusive, engaging, joyful, and always filled with deep meaning and relevance. It’s working! Our congregation is growing in size and involvement. But our investment means we’re running a budget shortfall: this year our total budget is $150,000, with a $30,000 gap above what dues, donations, grants, and investment income cover. Our long-term goal is for Dues from the Heart to cover our expenses, but until then we’ll run this appeal each year to help close the gap.
Whether you are one of our new members, a Shabbat regular, a Chaverim parent, a Mah Jong player, a less-frequent participant, or just a friend of BAJC — this invitation is for you. Every gift matters, and every gift is tripled.
To make a gift, either pay via this Shalom Cloud Link or send a check to BAJC (PO Box 2353, 151 Greenleaf St, Brattleboro VT 05303).
The campaign runs through May 22nd, and knowing where we land will help us build next year’s budget with confidence.
Thank you so much for being part of what makes BAJC so special. Together we can support BAJC continuing to thrive.
With gratitude, Sara and Zach, BAJC Co-Presidents
