A Bissel Borscht Belt is a fun-filled tribute to the Catskills variety shows of yesteryear that truly shaped modern American entertainment. This interactive performance experience filled with live Klezmer music, dancing, comedy, juggling, acrobatics, Yiddish language and culture, schtick, spiel, kvetching, and cursing will have you kibbitzing, kvelling, and getting verklempt from all the meshuggaas! In other words, you’ll have a blast and won’t want to miss it!

Kinetic Theory Theatre has been creating outside-of-the-box physical theatre, circus, and vaudeville shows for over 25 years. Under the Artistic Direction of Stephanie Bass Abrams, this award-winning theatre company has created and presented over 30 original productions to audiences of all backgrounds in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City, around New England, and even did a tour in China!

A Bissel Borscht Belt is peppered with comedy and fantastic feats as well an all-star cast of circus and variety performers including: award-winning mime/director Stephanie Bass Abrams and her husband Patrick Branstetter (formerly of Blue Man Group) from Brattleboro; internationally acclaimed hand-balancer /contortionist Fleeky Flanco of Greensboro, VT; The Flying Lin-Bianco Brothers- Fosse and Teo Lin-Bianco Las Vegas and San Francisco-based performers from Spiegelworld, AIDA Cruises, Diavolo, Joe Goode Dance Company and more; and renowned Western Massachusetts-based Klezmer Kapelye featuring Rachel Leader (violin), Ariel Shapiro (accordion), and Ozzy Gold-Shapiro (vocals/ukelele).
