“Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing”-Exodus 15:20.

Led by Marla Leigh Goldstein, the workshop is for beginners to advanced players and for folks  seeking to learn more about the instrument. Marla Leigh Goldstein is an inspiring, energetic educator and a soulful, charismatic performer dedicated to spreading awareness of women drummers.  She loves sharing the drum with both men and women at wellness retreats, educational workshops, and residency programs. The workshop at BAJC is open to both men and women and to children ages 12-16.  Participants should bring their own frame drum or hand drum; in addition, some Cooperman Frame Drums will be available to use, and/or to buy at a 10% discount.  Fees for the workshop are on a sliding scale from $27 to $45.00 for adults and $20 to $38 for children ages 12-16.  We are offering an “early-bird” discount for reservations paid for by October 2nd -- $22 for adults and $15 for teens.   Space is limited, so reservations are highly recommended.  To reserve a space or with any questions, contact Stephan at This email address is being protected from spambots.
